The Villa

There is a place where dreams come true.

Villa Canal combines the charm of its history with modern flare, transforming dreams into reality.

The Villa is located in Grumolo delle Abbadesse, deep in the territory of the “Ville Venete”. This prestigious 18th century dwelling was inspired by the great Palladio and was designed as a summer residence for the noble Venetian Badoer–Canal family. History, nature, art and emotion: they make up the incredible atmosphere of this residence.

Secluded spots perfect for intimate chats. Open spaces to be shared with all. Elegant details to admire. Exclusive moments to remember forever. Whatever the occasion – be it a reception, meeting, dinner, wedding, exhibition or photo shoot – Villa Canal, in all its class and perfection, is the ideal setting to make every moment unique.

The villa will captivate you, creating the perfect atmosphere for every moment. Outdoors, there is the beauty of the porticos, panoramic loggia and gardens. Indoors, there is the timeless exclusivity of the frescoed hall, grand fireplace room, hall of the antique globe, period Veneto-style kitchen and the piano nobile which is reached by climbing the majestic stone staircase.

A BRIEF HISTORY

The Villa’s main structure follows a traditional rectangular layout. It is flanked on the left by a Tuscan-style portico and, on the right, by a classical arched portico. The raised loggia and the portico of the stables were restored in recent times. The southern side of the courtyard is enclosed by an ancient wall with the original gates still in existence. The Church of Saint Giustina, which flanks the villa, was built in 1697 by the Venetian nobleman Giobatta Canal. At the front of the villa, there is an Italian-style garden; at the rear, an extensive park with ancient trees. Today, the property belongs to the direct descendants of the Badoer family.
